I got notified last night via email about Topaz Fusion Express, which is supposed to allow direct integration of Topaz Adjust and such with Lightroom (and other RAW editors).

I'm running 64bit Lightroom 2.5, and both 64bit and 32bit CS4 on my Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit system.

Anyway, I downloaded the 154mb zip file, followed all the instructions and such, and no-dice. I installed both versions 64bit, and then separately 32bit, of Fusion, and in either case, the executable that the instructions specifically say to link as the additional external editor doesn't exist.

Has any successfully got this to work?

Fusion is an interface to allow Topaz Photoshop plugins to work in Aperture, Lightroom, and IPhoto. In reading the Topaz web site, one thing that I noticed is that the word RAW is never used. I'm not sure this software is designed to work on raw images, and of course, you must own the Topaz plugins before you can use Fusion.

If you want to use Topaz Photoshop plug-ins in Aperture or Lightroom instead of just Photoshop, you probably know that we offer a free product called Topaz Fusion that makes this possible. (And if you didn’t, you do now!)

Today we released a new version of Fusion Express in closed beta. This version will work for both Mac and Windows for Adjust 4 and Detail 2 in Lightroom 2 on Windows/Mac and Aperture 2 + 3 on Mac. It will also work in 64-bit Aperture 3 for Mac if you set it as an external editor.

Je n'avais pas besoin de cette hypothèse-là.

I have the exact same issue with Fusion and W7 64 bit - the executable file does not exist. I am sure they will post a new version on their website soon.

I had the same problem. It looks like the documentation is wrong. I found another post that said that the exe was located in
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Topaz Labs\tlfusionexpress2_x64.exe.

I was able to find the exe on my W7 x64 system at that location.

Thanks. I thought I was being really dense. I tried searching on the Topaz site, but to be truthful, it leaves a lot to be desired.

I don't honestly know if this will be any better than my current procedure:
In LR, choose edit as smart object
Opens in CS4, I do my thing, etc...
The one thing I've found with this approach is that I have to open CS4 myself, beforehand, and leave it open. If I don't, then Topaz Adjust isn't available in the menus.

I'm going to take a stance here and say "not ready for primetime..."

Now I have the new location setup and all, and I get the "edit in" menu, and then a little pop-up to choose from all 1 of my topaz plugins. Then LR sits there "working", over 5 minutes now, and still no Topaz window... I can run LR and CS4 simultaneously with no issues, so I know it's not my system.

That's odd. I have a very similar setup to your except that I have LR 64 bit version 2.6. It works well for me. You might want to make sure that you only installed the 64 bit fusion. I know that I had installed both of them while I was trying to find the exe and then I uninstalled the 32 bit version.

I also tried the steps in your normal workflow and found that the Adjust option was available in PS CS4 even if PS wasn't already open before sending the smart object to PS from LR.

Your right, I re-checked that with Adjust 4 installed, and I no longer need to open CS4 first. When I was running Adjust 3 I had that issue.
