Fantastic indeed. We don't get that kind of light in the Northeast except perhaps in late April to May or in September.

Two *very* nitpicky items:
1. there seem to be a black spec located somewhat right of center in the cloud
2. there's a little bump on the ridge just to the right of center.

Very minor items but they act like grit in a big oaky buttery Chardonnay that this photo so reminds me of.

If it's in focus, it's pornography, if it's out of focus, it's art.

Mu Eugene -- Fixed the defects and thanks for taking a look.

I spent a good 1.5 hours here just taking in the light. To the right is a salt water lagoon connected to the Pacific with sand dunes. To the left was this scenic. Behind me 2 historic cattle ranches and I'm surrounded by enormous open space. I was the only person there.

This photo would be much better with a subject, like a person standing in the field, or a small building for perspective and interest.

I agree that scale as well as an additional focal point would be beneficial.

I can't wish a building or person into this scene. I had a little over an hour and I was the only person there. The area is fenced off and used for cattle grazing. It is a preserved park space in an area of historic cattle ranches with Tomales bay on one side and the Pacific ocean on the other. There are no other buildings.

Hey thanks everyone. I always liked landscape when the light is right and the scene breathtaking. It was an amazing experience seeing this all around me and listening to the sound of the waves crashing from the pacific ocean to my right, less than a mile away. West Marin is amazing geographically. I want to shoot the historic ranches here some day.

Very nice shot! Congratulations. I do not miss an additional subject in the image. The landscape, it's curves and the clouds in the sky make it varied and interesting enough.
