Is it natural for the 5dmk2 under low light in ISO 800 there is visble noise which can be seen when viewing the video on the computer?

I'm not sure if my camera is just noisey or what, but I've seen video samples on vimeo and it doesn't seem like their cameras are as noisy as mine!

Is there something wrong with my camera, or am I just over reacting?

Here's a resized sample picture at iso400 1/40 f1.8 from 50mm lens.

Now heres the close up,

Is that noise normal for a camera like this at iso400?

shutter speed is too slow, shot in underexposed, and I don't see anything in focus. I don't really see ISO noise :-)

I don't see one either. I think you're referring to the flim-like grain as ISO noise. I don't think that's it.

Can't really see any noise, if you have a look at the shadows (dark areas) they seem pretty clear. I think the shot needs to be focused better and the lens stopped down to improve shapness, what I see is out of focus points and not noise. How much magnification is the second shot ?

underexposure = increased noise

all things considered, I'm surprised there isn't more noise.

Looks clean to me.

I'm sure if you put some film under a microscope and blew it up 20 times bigger you'd see the grain, which is effectively what you're doing here.

This is a famous chinese chicken meal. It's steamed chicken with coconut flavoured steamed rice. :)
