Savas K, got anything to recommend? Like this kind of bag but bigger, is there any by lowepro for example? Would be great if they had this bag in different sizes like S, M, L etc.. hehe :D
Or maybe get another bag so i can fit the camera with lens attached in one bag and the other stuff in the other bag, but maybe that's too annoying to carry around..

Anyways, got the shouldpad stitched on and it works like a charm, can slide it along the strap too, now it atleast feels "complete".

My "cheap" pro-setup;
Canon EOS 450D | Canon 50mm f1.8 II | Canon EF 70-200L f2.8 IS USM | YN-468 v2
8GB SDHC Class10 | BG-E5 + 4xLP-E5 | RC-4 | Canon E1 | Lowepro Exchange Messenger bag

I'd say start a new thread about it and ask the entire forum population. Keeps this thread clean and you'll get tons more recommendations.

Didn't know that these really existed up until a few weeks ago when I stumbled upon it on a photography magazine. My wife is always giving out to me when I bring my main camera bag with all my gear. This review has definetly made up my mind on getting one of these. My worry was that I would not fit my 70-200 f4 along with my 450d with 17-55 attached. No problems now. It also looks if I will be able to bring along my 430 flash too. Great review. Thanks again.

Canon 6D, Canon 24-105L, Canon 35L, Canon 70-200mm f4 L IS, Canon 50mm f1.4, Canon 85mm f1.8, Speedlite 600EX-RT, Speedlite 430 EX II.

hm.. why all the review never include the lens hood. I am trying to find a bag that fit my 60D, 24-70 with reverse hood,580EXII and 50 1.8 lens.

this one will do but.. what happened if I wanna take the 24=70 hood? will it fit?

Idk...that's a big hood but probably. I use my hoods. I flip the camera now downwards and nifty is underneath with a thicker lens, 17-50 OS.

I just got this bag today. I don't have the 24-70 with hood, but I've handled it and I know the general size of it. Mounted on your camera with hood reversed and lens pointed down, it should fit in the bag along with your 580EXII and 50 1.8 with no problem.

Sorry for the late reply as an OP/reviewer...

The 24-70 with hood reverse mounted will not be an issue at all, unless you have something really hard / thick crammed into the front pockets. Then you'll have to make sure the lens goes into the middle of the bag or else it'd be really hard to get the lens or the pocketed stuff out!

I'm impressed by the bag (and its price of course), and I'm thinking of buying it. I guess it fits all my gear (Canon 400D + Sigma 17-70 + Canon 70-200 f/4 and maybe the speedlite or a 50mm 1.4), but my main concern is, how's the bag's performance against the weather, i.e. in rain or heavy snow. Anyone has experience on that?

PS Of course I understand the bag's not an "All Weather" bag, but still we could all be outside during a storm :p

I have this bag but I don't think that I'd recommend that it be caught out in a storm. I've had small showers happen while walking around with this thing and it faired ok, but I definitely wouldn't even consider carrying it if I thought there would be a storm. That's just me though.

Thanx for the response. So, if i decide to buy the bag, I will use it solely in Greece (or other Mediterreanan countries) :p

@jimmyt: yeap, it's the same :)

If you like the Exchange Messenger form factor and want one like it waterproof, check out a competing bag by Acme Made. http://www.acmemade.com …Photo-Messenger,53,13.htm (external link)

I compared both in the store and dimensions are on par. The Acme Made one is slightly heavier, with thicker material that helps the bag stand on its own instead of collapse like the Exchange Messenger. Silos for lenses remain sturdy in the open position with material surface making it easy to slide lenses in and out. This could be my next bag. It is double the price of Exchange Messenger at a store like B&H at around $40.00 usd, but in my opinion it's worth it, for it's accessibility and waterproof construction.

Just ordered one, thanks to all the positives on this thread
Will be ideal for travelling light, when I want to carry just a couple of lenses

I have two of these bags in different colors - one for my Canon gear, one for my m43 gear. I also have UD50 bag which stays at home 99% of the time and is basically for storing all my Canon gear. When I go out with a Canon, I pick up what I need and go with one of these bags. I usually fit:
5DM3 with a grip with Tamron 28-75 in the center Divider area. 70-200 F/2.8 IS II without the hood or tripod mount on one side, and 580 EX II on the other side. Extra batteries etc go inside the zippered bag section. My Lumiquest Softbox collapses into an envelope type just fine in the other unzipped pocket. I wish the bag would close with a Velcro though.

Hey,

I know i am bumping an old thread, but i wanted to know if the internal strips can be detached.

I want to use this bag as normal bag when i am not carrying the camera and that will happen only if the strips can be folded to accomodate books or clothes.
feasible?
