Hey everyone. I am in the market for a new tripod/head setup. I shoot mostly landscapes and I trek around quite a bit and a lightweight setup would be ideal. What do you think of this?

Not from me, because I've never used either of those. :D

You might get more results in the accessories forum - lots of tripod talk there: https://photography-on-the.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=34

In my opinion its not very lite weight for a hiking setup. By the time you add the head its gonna be pushing 5 lbs. Spend little more and get a 1 series Gitzo. You'll get a better manufactured tripod with more rigid support and less weight, which is a plus for long treks.

bakedcookies - I know you said tripod but you might also look into monopods. I have both a Induro tripod and head - but use my Induro monopod and head much more - plus it makes a great walking stick with out the camera being attached. What ever you purchase make sure the head is valued for the weight of the camera and lens. Sometimes they do crash.
