Get the video mic for weddings. If you want to pick up everything in addition to dialogue, get the stereo version.
Do a YouTube video search of Rode stereo mics.

It should. The T2i (unlike the T1i) has a 1/8" stereo mic input. It will likely suffer from the same AGC (automatic gain control) issues that the other Canon DLSRs have however.

These Rodes Mics have a 1/8" plug and are designed to mount on a hot shoe.
