Hey guys! I recently went from using the R strap to a Domke 1.5" gripper which I really like. I've got 2 cameras so now I need a second strap for the second body. Domke's shipping to Singapore is expensive, so I'm looking for alternatives. There's a local photog selling his Think Tank Camera Strap for SG$18, about 13 usd. Is it worth getting?

Note: I've tried the optechusa strap and I don't like it. I also don't work well with and Rstrap + domke strap. I still use my Cotton Carrier, but only in serious shoots and/or indoor locations.

I played around with that strap at my local camera store and I didn't like it. It's comfortable but, not as good as the Domke 1.5 gripper. I like the Domke bcoz' it swivels but, I feel it needs to be a bit wider for the shoulder pad area like the Optech. The Optech has always been comfortable for me.

Oh it doesn't swivel around? Okay, i'll pass. I love the swivel feature on the domke. And 0.5" is indeed important if not the camera will make the strap dig into the shoulders...

Nope. In case you're wondering, this is the one I tested at the store.

Anybody else? I'm thinking about picking up one of these to try out.

If your using it as a shoulder strap, look at the Upstrap. It will NOT slide off your shoulder.

Just buy a cheapy Tamrac P&S pouch with the black double wire metal spring clips (about $12.00 USD). they have swivel ends and fit the TT camera straps perfectly. When I used straps I used these spring clips and used very strong small spring steel split rings on my camera bodies strap attachment points.

But the CC has cured me of strapitis.

Lotsa stuff, running outta room and a wife...I keep looking at her and wondering???

I'm a big advocate of anything Think Tank, but like mentioned above thier strap doesn't have swivels, and I'd never buy an aftermarket strap without them.

If you must know...
