Hello from Central Texas. We're having a great year for wild flowers. Here is one of my first this year. I've been registered and lurking awhile and wanted to say hello.

This was with a 5D and a 100mm macro lens. I don't recall if I had an extension tube for this shot or not. I was playing with several things that day.

Very nice. Great color and detail. Does the state flower proud. I will be down in the hill country this wekend. Might have to do some wild flower viewing.
