Is there a way to see Raw-thumbnails in PE8 Organizer from the 1Dmk4 camera?
I have asked the same question in another group on this forum.

Save the camera and motive, the photographer is already disabled!

You just need to update ACR.

Click here (external link) and select camera RAW from the right hand side of the page then choose your OS then pick the download for Elements and install it.

I have the latest ACR 5.6 for PE8 and it opens well in the Editor, but the thumbnails can't be shown. Did download Raw Codec from Canon (1,7) but it didn't help either. I am lost for new ideas. My OS is Vista Premium

Mission accomplished

Here's the fix after talking with Adobe customer support:

Organizer is a separate program along Editor in Photoshop Elements 8 the file Camera Raw.8bi must be installed manually in both programs to enable proper import. Install Camera Raw in the directory:...Plugins ->Organizer Only ->File Formats under Adobe in the Program directory.:)
