My take trying out the new body comparing it to the ole' MKIII's I gave up on.

Wow, #4 is mystical. My favorite by far, but I can't put my finger on why...

What new body are you using? A 7D?

Thanks. The MKIII doesnt hold a candle to the MKIV when it comes to locking on target and holding it, IMO anyway.

Haha sorry Michael. This was the first action stuff really I tried this year. I knew from the portrait/studio/concer​t stuff I have done with one Canon came through. Now using it with motorsports, I'm convinced this is 'the' camera for shooting anything with awesome results. The focus, color and handleing is amazing. The best Canon to date I have ever used and I feel finally can compete against the Nikon d3/d3s.

Nice shots!

Regarding the bodies, I'd like to hear from someone who's owned that last three bodies for fast action use, be it motorsports or sports.

I own the MKIII and still own the original 1D and I'd definitely say it's a step up from that body.

I had three 1dmkiin's and two mkiii's and two 1dsmkiii's. I am extremely impressed with the mkiv over all them.
