Thnx Nick. Now my divorce is about over I was going tight back to Nikon, but I think I'll stay put for a while with the mkiv.

I've used the MKIII since its inception and have had great success, I guess you are happy with the MKIV compared to MKIII re AF problems? I am tentatively thinking about getting a MKIV so I would be interested in your opinion compared to the MKIII.

Cheers

For me it is much faster at focusing and more accurate than I ever got with any of my 1d bodies. The file detail is amazing, color reproduction is better and I get a more straight out of camera file experience I grew to love with my nikons. IMO the first time canon can truly give nikon a run for their money.

I was constantly chasing quality in the past. I changed 500 and 600 mm lens's several times, tried everything. The d3 with the nikon lens's was a dream come true.

Nikon needs to have a few more lens options IMO now that are more affordable. They have one 70-200 option unless you use sigma or tamaron. I personally hate sigma lens's and will only use canon ir nikon branded lens's. So I am now using a 70-200f4 is usm and a 100-400. I have to tell you the auto iso and the mk4 ability to lock focus makes the 100-400 lens come alive and don't really see the need for a 500-600 anymore. I shot a concert in BAD lighting the other day with 100-400 and 70-200 and was amazed at some of my shots even at 80,000 iso. This is going to bring a whole new light to night motorsports...

I could probably go on and on but maybe you get the just of it.

Wow, #4 is mystical. My favorite by far, but I can't put my finger on why...

I totally agree with you. I think it is the line of riders and the way the track seems to disappear into the sky.

I thought the same thing to myself before I read your post.
