I dropped my Elinchrom Ranger battery charger today just a couple of feet above ground and wouldn't ya know, it wouldn't work afterwards. I was going to order a new one but when I saw the price was over 200 bucks, I about fell over. I figured that I would open up my bad one to see if it was something simple to fix. It was sealed up well and not easily opened so I took a hammer and screwdriver and beat it open (what the hey, it wasn't working anyways). From there I saw that a small fuse had been dislodged from the board from the drop. Replaced the fuse and used some sealant to put it back together. It aint pretty no more but it works and I saved myself 200 and change. I'm so happy that I got it working that I decided to post it here :) ....and to think that I almost put in that order without opening the box.

I dropped my 5DMKII whilst on holiday. It wasn't responsive until I figured out the battery door was no longer held tightly due to the drop. There was a huge sigh of relief as I thought I had killed the camera.

For the rest of my holiday, I had to adopt a new grip. One that made my pinky feel very uncomfortable.

First thing when I got home was buy a BG-E6.
