Thanks guys. I'm self taught, it's years of pratice and alot of photo taking, trying different things and not being affraid to think outside the square, keeping a book of my settings & how I positioned myself & my model, and lots of practice. It's very possible to be a self taught photographer, I've never taken a lesson in my life. Did I mention lots of practice?!

Keep practicing, pick your camera up every day.

very nice. Like the first one very much. 3rd one not much, I am not for the blown out spots coming behind the subject which you have to watch out.

It's good to know you're self-taught. You said you keep a book of your settings? Do you look at your photos then write down settings for the best ones? Your black and whites are so crisp. What editing software do you use?

I meant to finish my first sentence by saying it's good to know you're self-taught because it gives me hope for my photos. I've learned a lot by reading articles on here and looking at picture examples.....and like you said I too beleive it takes lots and lots of practice.

Do you look at your photos then write down settings for the best ones

You can do that, I shoot in RAW and write down my exif data (well I used to when I was teaching myself)

I am using Adobe Camera Raw and photoshop CS4

These are lovely, Seona but the whites seem a little hot. Did you use fill flash? If so, maybe dial it down a tad..... I always have a lot of grief with whites outdoors.

LOL and I shoot weddings!!!!

Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.
