So assuming Jon is fine with ending this round on Sunday, Lisa has said she'll be ready to go on Monday and will post the new threads later in the week.

I'm just going to add that this was a GREAT Round II and we had some freaking awesome photos. Thanks for making it tough every week guys, whether it was a competitor or as a judge! I seriously enjoy being a part of this thread and POTN.

I have not been drinking. :)

(I do enjoy a nice bourbon though...)

Another endorsment for a bribe, I see...:D

doesn't mean the thread dies :D we can all carry on bribing each other (for nothing) on here, or shift our banter to the SMWYG thread when that starts up!!

Yes. An "endorsement."

Yes, this was a very enjoyable round of LMSYS...and my first. I dig seeing what everyone will show up with, and myself being pushed to up my game.

Thanks, and looking forward to being "pushed" some more in the next round of SMWYG.

Kristy, SMWYG ("Show Me What You've Got") has been going for some years -- it's as close to an "official" contest as we have, whereas LMSYS ("Let Me See Your Stuff") was started a couple years ago to fill in the months between the close of SMWYG and the opening of the next round, and is done "for fun". Just keep on keeping on -- look for the SMWYG thread coming soon:)!

Simply wouldn't copy. must be an issue with my version of photoshop or win7... anyway, I did appreciate your reply and I apologize for dropping the ball on getting back with you... some weeks are busier than others I guess...... just the same you are appreciated. :)

Heh! No apology needed, just sorry that your stuff isn't working, and not sure of why not! Maybe try a few things, copying stuff and pasting or whatever, but don't know why PrtScn wouldn't work...maybe if you've re-booted it would work now?

Anyway, the SMWYG "rules" should be in the first post, so as soon as you see one pop up, check it out!

LMSYS is based off of SMWYG...they are very close. No watermarks for SMWYG and different time frame for when the photos are taken....

plus in SMWYG, the winning photos of each week, go into a pool for the "end of month" round.

The end of month winners go into a pool for the title "PotN Photographer of the Year" at the end of the competition...

the competition goes up several notches. I've only ever had 1 photo make it to the finals, but failed..

others here get several! But don't let that dissuade you - more the opposite, let it help you push the boundaries.

The judges are not us, they are a complete separate panel who do not enter photos themselves, and if you thought we were harsh about watermarks... Nah, they are cool people but do volunteer a lot of their time, so bribes are well accepted with them.
