We are in the middle of an excellent spring migration along the Texas coast. Here are some shots of the Summer Tanager.

Great shots, Miles. I saw one of these in Utah last year, first and only.

Oh! What a beautiful bird. The first two shots are great, as is the last. Good job, Miles.

Wow Miles, these are real beauties. I especially like the one in the field of daisy's.

Are the warblers moving yet? Haven't seen a single one here.

Those are excelent. But 2 and 5 are something special. 2 being my favorite of the series. The red flower complements the bird in 2 but doesn't distract. The pose is pleasing as well. Love it.

Outstanding. The daisy field shot is really cool. I once spotted a western tanager here is Seattle, what a colorful bird.

Appreciate all the kind words!

The Warblers have been coming in droves for the past couple of weeks. I have now spotted over 20 species in that time span. That doesn't even include all our other migrants such as the Tanagers, Orioles, Flycatchers, Buntings, etc. There are heading north and should be showing up before too long.

Thanks for the nice comments!

These were all taken in the Corpus Christi area. I live on North Padre Island not far from Port Aransas right on the Gulf of Mexico.
