Nice shots. Does that have a retractable tail wheel?

Hi, no it's not a tail dragger it has a nose wheel, and extendable floats for water landings.

The Catalina is a BEAUTY! I've always liked these. I understand Jimmy Buffet has one that He uses as a flying houseboat. One thing I never knew was that the nose gear retracted into the hull. Seems like it would be difficult to make it water tight? :shock:

I love this plane. It's my favorite non fighter from WW2.

I have a large model of it hanging above my bed that I made long ago.

#1 and #3 are my fav's.

I've got two models of this baby... one black and the other not yet painted. (have to finish them!!)

this airplane IS on the top 10 airplanes list... and is on the top 2 of my list of aircraft that I would actively look for to purchase. (once the bank balance would allow it..)
