I'm going to be purchasing an RRS QR clamp for my 1D3 L plate. The head is a Gitzo 1378M Magnesium Head and isn't Arca-Swiss compatible. I'm not sure which clamp I'm supposed to buy. Any help is appreciated.

According to the RRS Clamp Selector Table, it's Gitzo 1378M -> B2 LR II, B2-Pro, B2 LLR II, B2-Pro/L

Call 'em if you're not sure. They'll confirm.

If it were me I would either get an L-plate that is compatible with the QR of your ballhead, or swap out for an Arca compatible L-plate.

I already have the RRS L plate but it is not compatible with my existing Gitzo clamp (not Arca Swiss).

'Tis unfortunately true, otherwise we'd all have a bundle more money to fritter away on other stuff.
