first attempts...

These are amazing pictures you guys..but I'll post anyway

Actually 50D is my first DSLR. A number of P&S and a film SLR previously. I didn't really experience the capabilities of an SLR (auto mode most of the time...:o) so this time around want to learn how to take interesting pictures. This forum has already taught me a lot so thanks!

Being a musician, myself, I find #1 to be AWESOME! Nothing beats the warmth of tubes!

#2 is awesome, as well. It has a very nice feel to it. Kind of gloomy.

#3, I'm afraid, really doesn't do much, for me. My eyes can't find a real subject to lock on. But, hey - 2 out of 3 ain't bad. My average is probably more like 1 out of 5... =P
