Heres a photo from my very first E-Session I did with some friends. I have a lot to go through but I liked this one a lot and wanted to share! They're biggest concern is a photo for the news paper, their parents won't stop bugging them haha. Let me know what you think. Honestly please, dont feel bad to tell me it sucks =)
Camera: Canon EOS 50D
Exposure: 0.008 sec (1/125)
Aperture: f/2.5
Focal Length: 50 mm
ISO Speed: 500
Exposure Bias: 0 EV

Added one more. It was pretty much pitch black at this point and I couldn't get a focus. So I shot from the hip and guessed a focal length
Camera: Canon EOS 50D
Exposure: 5''
Aperture: f/4.0
Focal Length: 17 mm

The more I look at the 2nd photo, the more I wan't to reshoot it with a more romantic pose and a little tighter crop. I wanna do it a little earlier before it gets so dark so i can cut out the noise.

The second picture is a wonderful opportunity for some off camera flash and ambient light for the waterfall.

the first photo looks underexposed to me, the second is out of focus, unfortunately.

I agree about off camera flash - it would have improved both shots immensly. Also don't be afraid to go higher ISO, 50D can handle 1600 easily, even 2000 if need be.

Judging from the foreground to background sharpness and water fall, I'd say that your second shot wasn't out of focus, but rather because your shutter speed was too slow making it blurry.

If it's that dark, use a tripod or crank up your iso and let the flash do the work.
