Just swapped my 7D for a 1D MK III and I'm loving it! Although I am missing the extra reach of the crop, especially when I forget the 1.4x!!!

These are some pictures from a Charity match at the weekend in aid of Help for Heroes. Shedweb Lions Versus Cherrypickers (supporters v ex players), fun day out and the result went how you think it would!

I need to tweak the AF settings, lost the focus to surrounding players a few times. The amount keepers from this camera is amazing, far more than the 7D. Happy times :)

If you could quantify your in focus shots, what percentages would you give the respective cameras?

Well I've only used the 1D for one match, generally rather than an out of focus shot I've managed to catch a player in front/behind the player in focus. This possibly could be lessened by setting focus track to slow.

I've not got results like this once from the 7D, there would always be a run of shots not quite in focus. It was still very capable though, bare in mind I'm just a hobbyist and no expert, I'd give the 1D 9/10 and the 7D 7/10...
