If you use my ideas and images as a springboard for your own concepts, I'm flattered and thankful. Just don't try to replicate what I've done, is all.

If plucks gets exactly what you got from dropping food coloring in water, call Ripley!! ![]() Given enough time, everything is repeatable! lol, in all seriousness though, I know no one can ever simulate the exact shapes I have here, but this was more or less my concept. I found the materials, executed it as I saw fit, etc. I know when I see someone else's work, if they have an incredibly clever concept or trick, I'll admire it, but I won't adopt it. It may leak into my subconscious and therefore influence my work, no arguing that. But I never make a conscious decision to emulate someone else's style.

As I said, springboarding off someone else's work is awesome, I do that a lot, even though it doesn't often come across in the image because I twist it that much. Interested to see what you do, so pm me with a link to the thread if you don't post it in this one.

This technique has been done a million times before you and will be done many more times. Its food coloring into a water tank, pure and simple. Sumatra Macro Photography Trip, July 2016

No. I stated that I never intentionally borrow or adopt someone else's ideas. Maybe you should read before you comment. It's also very irritating that people like you don't pay attention to when I write: "Then I'm happy! As I said, springboarding off someone else's work is awesome, I do that a lot..."
