Even the support races are fun.
#1 Roger Lee Hayden (95) and Jason Disalvo fought it out the entire race.
#2 Even the back markers provided good action.

(had to look at it twice to see the hill / curve in the background..) oh.. yes.. and the last shot is very inspirational!! ![]() Here is a photo that has not been cropped. You should be able to see left hand turn 8 then 8a as it starts the five story drop. Sorry the catch fence is in the way. Some of the fencing is new this year. Thanks for the compliment. I owe my good shots to my 70-300 DO IS and luck. I like to shoot the corkscrew from an area just up the track from where you described. The fences were different this year and made it a little tougher as did the huge crowds. IMNHO the best place for shooting corkscrew is between the fences just below 8a, there is even a cut out in the catch fence there. Bless the recently fallen and their family and friends.

I mostly use Picasa2 which is not nearly as sophisticated as Elements, never mind Photoshop. I mostly just crop and export for web. I occasionally add a little fill light, one sharpening pass and the like. Picasa is fairly simple. I am not good at PP so I don't do it much. I've got to get ppast this hang up Bless the recently fallen and their family and friends.

Will may need a higher ISO at a fast enough shutter speed to stop everything. Einstien was right. All is relative ![]() i was using my just-purchased canon 100-400 L. it's definitely the best lens i've ever owned and now i'm hooked, looking at other L's. i'll have to do some more testing soon...
