A lot of us here use those straps, some of the best in the business. I regularly use a 1D and 100-400 and never get a dead shoulder using the strap where the standard Canon strap would cut right in.

I use a 7D + grip + 70-200 f4 and it works great, no stress at all with my pro loop. 7D | XSi + Phottix Grip | 400 F/5.6 | 70-200 F/4 | Sigma 30 f/1.4 | Sigma 10-20 f/4-5.6 |430ex | Horusbennu C-2830V | Photo Clam PC-33

Not that I know of. And I've had mine for a couple of years with pretty heavy loads. Not a sign of any weakness yet.

Mine's held a 1D3 and 300 2.8 after the (other brand) strap on the 300 2.8 failed. Nope. I've used OpTech straps on many cameras and in many places you wouldn't want to drop them and they've held up just fine. Jon

Apr 21, 2010 18:56 | #15 Just another to add their vote of confidence in OPTech straps - I used to use the canon strap but never unless I had athick highcollar jump on otherwise that strap would dig right into my neck. With a light lens it was uncomfortable and with a heavy lens it was really almost painfull at times. Tools of the trade: Canon 400D, Canon 7D, Canon 70-200mm f2.8 IS L M2, Sigma 120-300mm f2.8 OS, Canon MPE 65mm f2.8 macro, Sigma 150mm f2.8 macro, Tamron 24-70mm f2.4, Sigma 70mm f2.8 macro, Sigma 8-16mm f4.5-5.6, Raynox DCR 250, loads of teleconverters and a flashy thingy too
