Thanks for the comments. Everyone seems to love the last photo. I guess it really captures his innocence and his love. I think the b&w highlights the emotion.

I feel like I'm getting better and better as a photographer every week. When my son gets older, I'll have to thank him. He is what pushes me to improve.

BTW, I didn't mention any strobist info on these photos. All photos where shot with a 580 EXII in an EZ-Box softbox cameral left, and another 580EXII aimed into a 48" silver reflector camera right, both triggered with pocketwizards.

#3 does have the sweetest expression. IMHO, I would ditch the socks. #1 they look dirty in the first pic, and #2 baby toes are just too stinkin cute! Good Job!

The B&W shot is adorable and easily the best of the bunch but the others are good too. The first one seems tilted to the left and could use some cropping. I'd probably remove some of the space on the right and leave space on the left where he's looking. The second one seems tilted to the left slightly too, but it's not as noticeable. Good stuff!

Thanks for the comments. I guess it's true what they say... the more photos you take, the better you'll get.

Thanks for the comments on the tilt. There might be a slight tilt in some of them. I try to get down to his level when I'm taking the shot, and with my crappy back and bad hips, it's a struggle to not shake the camera, never mind make sure it's perfectly level :) I'll watch that more in post.

Tell me about it. My wife won't let me. She says that he likes the tags. :) Believe me, it's not worth arguing over.

This sounds like our house - except my wife found taggies (external link).

Now he has a blanket with *MORE* tags.
