Recommend some good accessories

I need to get some accessories and what you guys/gals would recommend:

• Neck Strap (non-Canon to attract less attention to what brand/model camera I have)
  
• Circular Polarizer (for a 67mm lens and needs to be good/high quaility)
  
• Battery Grip for 50D (I hear Zeikos is a good non-Canon one)
  
• Flash Diffuser (I had a cheap $10 one, but I seem to have lost it at a car show as it easily came off. I think it was Sto-Fen or something)
  
• UV Filter (nevermind, I've decided to not use UV filters and stick to my lens hood and spend the money on a circular polarizer)
  
• Camera bag (needs to hold a 50D, Tamron 17-50, 70-200 f/4, possibly a 24-105 L, 430EX II flash, memory card holder, a netbook/laptop (up to 15"), a external portable hard drive, usb cables, a Sandisk card reader, a some filters and camera manuals/guides/books). Also, the bag needs to be discrete and not attract too much attention.
  
• A bag to hold my Manfrotto legs and ballhead.
  
• A shutter release cable (preferably wireless, but wired is fine for my 50D)

CP- B+W only way to go, kinda expensive BUT worth it.
Battery grip- I usually stay with Canon brand so no compatability issue or QA drawback
Flash Diffuser- For the price you want-- Stofen is the cheapest!
UV Polarizer- I suggest GO get one! cheaper to get a filter than a NEW lens IF you drop it!

* Circular Polarizer - B+W MRC F-Pro KSM is the highest end
* Battery Grip for 50D - I recommend only the Canon
* Flash Diffuser - I really like the LumiQuest ProMax System, but its more of a bounce setup
* UV Filter - Well if you do get one (I use them on all my lenses) B+W MRC F-Pro
* Camera bag - Sky is the limit here, Im not even going to comment except I own several Lowepro bags and they have never failed me.
* A bag to hold my Manfrotto legs and ballhead - Buy one of the nice Manfrotto tripod bags. They are top of the line IMO
* A shutter release cable - The Canon Timer Remote is the do all. There are generic ebay ones that come in all flavors which all have pretty decent reviews.

I have a Lumiquest system that I really like, but it is a little bulky for travel. I have A Better Bounce Card that I take with me when I travel.

Skip the stofen type diffusers, they dont do what you might think they do. Go with a bounce card type like the lumiquest or Demb flipit. Or build yourself a bounce card.

Looks like you have already made the right decision on that one

Tried Hoya once and quality brought me down fast! I put it on and it won't come off. I just been using B+w's and heliopans after that.

My 2 cents
Neck Strap: POTN
Grip: I have the Zeikos grip on my 450d and love it, build quality is great and have had no issues.
Filters: very happy with my B+W
BagS: I have a Kata, Tenba and Thinktank I'm happy with the quality of all of them.

Strap - POTN or Crumpley Industry Disgrace
Grip - Phottix is what I have for my 5D and I like it a lot. Great build for a 3rd party

Shutter release- wired Zeikos for $8 from B&H. Decent build and has never let me down. If you are using it all the time, maybe go with something else.

You need a lens pen.

B+W is not the only way to go. Hoya HD are great filters, your inability to remove a stuck filter does not speak to brand quality.

Hoya are generally harder to clean compared to B+W. I am not sure about their HD line, but from I know about their previous filters before the HD branding came out.
