Hoya are generally harder to clean compared to B+W. I am not sure about their HD line, but from I know about their previous filters before the HD branding came out.

Part of Hoya's HD marketing is that they are easy to clean. I have 4 HD filters, 2 UV @ 77 and 82mm and 2 CPL (same diameter). I find they are much easier to clean than my B+W 58mm MRC UV filter. Your results may vary, I'm just suggesting we all keep open minds about new products.

Of course, Hoya HDs aren't inexpensive either.
