I can't decide....HELP!

I am trying to decide. Canon 85mm 1.8 or the Sigma 50mm 1.4.
I am using 1D Mark III. Crop is 1.3

I like tight shots, but I don't want to find myself restricted. Anyone use this set up?

Suggestions please and thank you...;)

well, I decided to go with the Canon 85mm. I already have a 50 1.8 (not the same as the Sigma quality), but I decided to go with something sharp, great bokeh, and all around awesome portrait camera....u know what convinced me?

this:

Simply awesome...

with the 1D, I'd take the 85mm for tight shots.

You'll enjoy the 85 1.8. It's a great lens for the price!

Thank you. Looking forward to using. Will be my first mid focal prime.

Forum was very helpful in making this decision. Thanks for all the reviews!
