The Yamaha YDS2 was my first motorcycle when I started college. It had that RING-a-ding-ding-ding sound but it was faster than goose grease. I used to eat Hondas for lunch. The things we used for tires then would hardly qualify as showroom rim protectors today and the shocks & forks were equally scary but we didn't know any better at the time.
The BMW, on the other hand was quite the ticket.
My first attempt at B&W. I thought it fit the subjects.

That YDS2 looks like such a blast.

I've never really had the pleasure of experiencing old technology like that. I love some of the newer "retro" styled bikes though.

The only thing that irks me about the second photo is that it looks like you didn't desaturate the area directly left of the roundell.

The Yamaha reminds so much of my old Suzuki X-6 Hustler, supposedly the fastest procution 250 of its time. They had one on display at the Guggenheim (sp?) motorcycle display in Las Vegas, and it brought on some real pangs of nostalgia. I'd probably kill myself on the blasted thing now.

Yep...That'll work.

The only reason stuff like that catches my eye is because I've done it severall times before!

LOL! I remember when the Yamaha "Twin 100" was the hot ticket for the high school set. Looked very similar to this one. ;)
That old BMW "Boxer" twin is pretty cool as well. These used to be the "Cats" behind when it came to touring. I notice this one has an exposed drive shaft. That alone could be considered very unusual on a Bike. I dont suppose you ave any photos of that side of it? :D
