The blotchy skin looks like you're either overexposing in the camera or it's something you're doing in PP. If you're shooting in RAW and have Lightroom or some sort of RAW editor you can use the recovery slider to bring back the highlights. Or you can adjust your brightness/exposure levels...or drop your contrast down, whichever looks best. Your other option would be to dodge/burn your highlights and shadows...did I just completely confuse you!?!
