I was thinking of doing a 3 or 4 day trip to New York Ciry, just for the fun of it. Visit B&H of course, and do a little Sight Seeing. But I don't drive, so I was wondering what people would suggest is the best way to get around New York City, and maybe a few of the burrows.

I see that Gray Line has some Double Decker Busses, would they be a good idea? Or is there better way to get around?

Walk + subway. Get 7 day unlimited MTA pass for $27 dollars.

It's still reasonable to travel around using subway/bus combination to Queens/Brooklyn. Other boroughs, you might want to rent a car or use the cab (for a lot more money of course).

I just asked the same question a couple days ago. Sound advice was to use the subways & avoid the buses because of traffic.

I've lived within the fringes of the city, and just outside of it, for all the 30 years I've been driving, and have never driven into downtown Manhattan. I walk, or take the subway around the city.

Glad this came up - I was thinking about a trip in September.

Oh and B&H is defiantely on my list of must visits! Slightly before the Empire State building and the Statue Of Liberty! :D
