Shot a doubleheader last weekend between Valdosta State (ranked #3) and Alabama-Huntsville (#12).

I'm on a learning curve, and always appreciate constructive tips and help.

I believe this pitcher's record is currently 22-2 on the year. She can bring it.

The D2 national player of the week (a pure freshman), in mid-swing on the homerun that sealed the game (don't like the background - but was sitting on top of visitor's dugout - which pretty well limited my background options):

Outta there! (this is cropped pretty heavily, and the quality pays for it):

Thanks!

Number 1 & 3 are good wonderful timing on these, the pitchers expression is good, the play at thirds is awesome imho! All eyes on blue! As for number 2, I think even with the crop it's good, sometimes you are very limited to wear you can shoot from and if you don't have an arsenal of lens you do what you can with what you got! Hope to see more of your photos again soon.

A bunch of equipment with Canon on it and some stuff with Sigma on it. The desire to capture a moment in time and share it with you! :)

I wish Canon made some L long 2.8 zooms as well, I still use my Sigma 120-300 2.8 quite often.

I could tell you used one by looking at the images. There is just something about using the extender with the 70-200 I've never been quite happy with, like many others here. I probably just dont have the skill to get good results with it, but I've never liked the quality from that combo.

Did you take any shots without the extender?

Probably did (took about 700 pics during the double header - imagine some without the 1.4). Think I'll go back and take a look when get home tonite to compare.

I have a 300 f4 IS. Only problem is that from where I shoot (usually on roof of the dugout on First base side), it puts me too close to the action at times (particularly on a play on the right side). Which is why I was using my largest zoom.

(the 300 F4 IS does seem to have pretty good IQ with the 1.4 on it).

Had thought of selling the 300 and buying a 100-400 - just for the zoom capabilities.
