Here a are a few photos I took with a Canon Rebel XT. Please feel free to critique my photos and if you would like, add any tips.

I remember when I first got my first SLR. I took random pictures of EVERYTHING around the house. That kind of looks like what you're doing here. It looks like you're starting to get a hold of how aperture affects DOF. After you get comfortable with the aperture/shutter/ISO triad, start practicing with composition and subject. Honestly, all of these tend to be snapshot-ish of random stuff. The only one that kind of peaks my interest are the flowers. But, it looks like you were too close for the lens to focus in. It might also benefit from a closer crop, proper white balance and deeper DOF to get the whole first flower in focus.

Just remember to keep practicing and keep having fun. Oh, and it would help if the label on the lime wasn't upside down :)
