Fog, cold, and rain. Toughest shooting conditions so far this season. I fogged up one telephoto lens inside, but managed to keep the bodies dry and working. Clean lens? Good luck! ;-)a ISO cranked up, low shutter speeds. Just ugly.

1. One of the few decent spots to use the telephoto lens.

3. So I also used the 40D on a low tripod with flash and a wireless shutter.

4. With that set up covered in plastic, I could shoot from inside the car ~30 meters away.

Nice mood on the last shot. Maybe a slightly different crop so he's not right in the center?

Is not so bad. I was shooting in the Grant's Tomb race this past March, with 40mph+ gust wind (North Easter), torrential downpours from 7am to 1pm. The race wasn't finished but I got too wet. And had to leave.

With him looking left, I would have put him to the right of the frame.

Well, you can just see the leaves of some bushes on the left and there was a rider in the background, stage right. So, that's where he got cropped. I've got some others of him walking as well.

Hey, I know that there are some local photogs on here .... I've been contacted by some riders looking for the guy shooting pix at the Bong Time Trial on Sunday. They're looking to buy. Let me know if anyone knows who that was and I can forward info on how to get you guys together.

I know how it can be. Sometime you gotta work with what's if front of you. Anyways, nice set. I like the remote shots too.
