Hello,

Here are some pictures from a couple of shoots with my girlfriend but don't go easy on us She's great to work with very relaxed and playful. She's imaginative and comes up with her own ideas. I like that a lot. It really helps to keep it productive and fun even if the results aren't always up to the desired level the time spent is always great. And that's what matters when you're learning, right?

Anyway, take a look at these. I used my Rebel XT and Helios M44 58mm usually at f/2.8. Lighting is home built.

Comments and critique are more than welcome. I'm hoping for more shoots in the future with her so any help regarding lighting and posing would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

#1-the pose is fine, but her expression is pained. her eyes appear over sharpened as well.
#2-I like this pose, but its OOF. Also try whitening her teeth a little [She'll appreciate it and it'll make your pictures pop a little more!]
#3-love it! try brightening eye on camera right a little since its shadowed
#4-I like the composition and pose, don't like her expression though.
#5-one of my favorites. great shot.
#6-I like it, I just wish her chin wasn't so high up

Hey, thanks for a quick reply and the feedback! I didn't sharpen her eyes in particular. It might just look like that. Anyway, great to get such detailed comments!

And I thought it would be fair to note it's her first time in front of a camera too

Geez she's gorgeous and I love her playful quality that comes through. You did a nice job with her.

My favorites are #5 and the added one. my least fav is the up the nose in #6.
