The conditions were horrible. Cloudy one second and sunny the next which gave me a hard time with my exposures. Later in the day it became extremely overcast and was raining a little here and there. The wind was blowing at 20 mph gusting to 32 and I could hardly get a sharp photo of the prop planes.

Static shots were taken with an EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 and in-flights were with an EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM. The body is a Canon XTi.

With all of my excuses out of the way here are the few semi-keepers...

Great shots... But that H-model BUFF looks sweet... Good work..

Wonder what that pylon is between #6 and #7 engine?

All the world's indeed a stage and we are merely players performers and portrayers.

The Buff is stellar. Love the sun glistening off the cockpit glass!

Thanks By-tor.

I have no idea what that pylon is. Maybe someone who knows could tell us.

Late production B-52Hs featured a second stores pylon on each wing, positioned between the two engine pods. These short pylons were used to carry AN/ALE-25 chaff dispenser pods, which each contained twenty Tracor AN/ADR-8 6.35 centimeter (2.5 inch) folding-fin chaff rockets. The chaff rockets could be fired manually by the crew, or automatically by the bomber's defensive countermeasures system. The pylons were retrofitted to earlier B-52H production and to the B-52Gs.

That buff pic is awesome by the way... very ominous....

Thanks. I don't know how you put up with sky like that. It drove me crazy, but then again I'm used to bluebird days.
