Here are several shots from the backyard that I took yesterday. The Harris's Sparrows are still hanging around along with the White-crowned Sparrow. They've been here now for several weeks. Thanks for looking.

Harris's Sparrow

and...our backyard bully Mockingbird.

Very nice shots. I have seen both of the sparrows here a few times, but in all my life, I have never seen a Mockingbird, and they are shown on the map to be here.

Nice set! Same as Canonloader, mockingbirds are scarce 'round NE Ohio.

Really liked the Harris' Sparrow.

Excellent series Brad, wish I had my own pet mockingbird. I love hearing them sing.

Thanks Mitch, I guess it's all about where we live. I've seen Mockingbirds all my life and these Harris's Sparrows are a first for me. :)

Much appreciated Steve. Mockingbirds are nice to have around but are very territorial with other birds especially for food. We have a pair and they rule our backyard.

Beautiful images. I like the Harris the best, but probably because I've only seen it once.

That Harris's Sparrow is a stunning sparrow... you nailed him perfectly Brad... and also his friends. :)

Awhile back, I thought I had a Harris's for the first time... it turned out to be a Lapland Longspur in breeding plumage.... you are fortunate to have this guy hanging around for so long.
