the 18-135mm for sure, 18 gives you a semi-decent wide angle, and 135 is a nice walk-around daily zoom range.

Canon EOS 7D || Canon 450D Rebel XSi || EF 16-35mm f/2.8 L USM || EF 35mm f/1.4 L USM || EF 50mm f/1.4 USM || EF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM || EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM || EF 70-200mm f/4 L USM || Speedlite 420EX & 430EX and ST-E2

The 18-135mm. More modern, better IS than the 28-135 which doesn't cover the wide end very well.

+1 for 15-85mm. But I would also consider 17-50 Tamron as well - constant f/2.8 aperture.

+1 for 15-85mm, can't beat that for walk around all purpose lens. The only thing better would be 17-55mm, but it cost more and shorter.

15-85 is great if you can afford it; the 18-135 isn't a bad alternative though.

Another vote for the Tamron 17-50mm
