They were $65 a few short months ago, on Amazon.com, now $119?! Why?

That's got to be a mistake on Amazon's part, on Amazon UK they're only £58.05 which is about $94 and we always have to pay far more than you guys

They're the same price ($79.95) at Adorama and B&H as they were when I got one last September.

yeah, the prices went up. I had it in my cart at B&H and it was $65. Opted to get it from Amazon because of the free shipping to Hawaii. Thank goodness I bought it as the rates are rocketing up sky high...I mean, cmon, BestBuy has it for $100...you'd think others could do a lot better. Only problem is I was on Amazon's backorder list...sheesh. It's the backorder that's killing the price. Those other merchants are just capitalizing on Amazon's low stock.

1-2 months? I know that is not a realistic number, but is Amazon really that slow? I was going to order something from them

It is not amazon selling the item, it is a third party vendor.

they aren't usually that slow for most things...but for certain camera items...yup. ie. this battery and the Nifty-Fifty are often out of stock and backordered.

Just double check with whoever is selling them to see about the pricing and why it is what it is
