Has anyone gotten Adobe to upgrade a late purchase?

OK, so I'm not really good about paying attention to news of new version releases (shame on me), but I recently bought Adobe CS4 Design Premium in March and now CS5 is out.

Then, yesterday, I bought Lightroom 2 and I read somewhere here today that LR3 will be released in 2 weeks! Poor timing... AGAIN!

I'm wondering whether anyone here has ever had any success in getting Adobe to upgrade a late purchase for free through their customer service before I give it a try.

I know, my bad and all... and I'm not whining. I'm sure I'll be fine with the older versions. But, it may be worth a shot regardless...

Thanks!

Randy...

I did this with CS4. I bought CS3 after CS4 was officially announced but before it was released. Wasn't sure if they would upgrade me since I didn't contact them about the upgrade for a long time (didn't need CS4 until the &d came out) but they had no problems with it. Took a week or two for them to respond but no problems.

ETA: If you haven't already looked at it, here's the policy: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/153/tn_15304.html (external link)
