I'm gonna try it again with a kneeling photog with a monopod + 300mm 2.8.

Kinda reminds me of the NBA logo in a way ...http://1.bp.blogspot.com …EviYk4/s400/nba_logo1.jpg (external link)

That's kind of weird. I mean, it's a blatant ripoff of NBA/MLB and as such doesn't inspire much confidence that the photographer using it is very creative.

That was the point... It's for a sports photography company.

Well, it worked. He used it on a big banner at his booth at the Little League field. Lots of attention and comments. People loved it, lol. The fact that it looks like the MLB logo instantly caught attention and made it very clear what his business was about.

Well there's not a lot of creativity in sports photography so I guess it wouldn't matter.

Kinda my thought as well. Marketing to the parents is much more important, and if a colorful strong catchy graphic will do it, then you win.

Yeah in this case it's more like a road sign than a logo. Basically saying "this is where the photographer is" and really no more than that.

In which case, it's perfect.

Thanks, and it was really cool to see it on a 8'x4' banner with people stopping at the booth and loving the photos of their kids. I'm going to start shooting for him soon if I see enough interest to make it worth my while.

I'm sorry, but he purchased the logo, so it's no longer my call. I can't stop you from right-clicking to 800px one on this thread, but I can't provide anything larger.
