I've been writing for a new photography site as of lately and one of my recent pieces is based around me being color blind. Wanted to share it here: http://thephotoletariat.com …color-blind-photographer/ (external link)

and see if anyone else is color blind / how you deal with it/ what you do differently / how you relate or disagree with what I have in the article. Either leave comments on the blog article itself or here, I'll watch both.

I don't see what there would be to disagree with in your blog, you've found a way to overcome/make the best of your disability and that's great. Images on your website look fantastic, I'm not colorblind but wish I had the motivation to take as wonderful photographs as you have. :)

I have sold a print to a color blind person before. I cant remember which colors he couldnt see but it was an interesting discussion and he bought a print so he must have appreciated it despite not being able to see certain colors in the image. I thought that was cool.

In the early days of photography being colour blind wasn't a problem, all photographs were black and white. I'm not saying that shooting in black and white now is a solution, but it's one way of being creative without feeling handicapped by a disability.
