Mixing batteries in a grip?

I have one factory canon battery and one Impact brand battery with a higher mAh rating than the factory one. Is it ok to mix these in a grip or do I need two factory batteries in it?

Have a look at any one of the five threads (four of which have EXACTLY the same title) listed in the bottom left hand corner of this page.
Something tells me the answer might lie there.

Will my 50D plus battery grip (BG-E2N that last me from morning, 10am to around 9 at night, shooting a TON or do i need an extra battery?

Yes you can (and that took less time to type than telling you to go search somewhere else), it will cause no problems.
