I can't afford a proper macro lens at the moment so bought some extension tubes recently. Eventually got a chance to try them out today when this little fella alighted on the kitchen floor:

At center the results are very good, difficult to give a precise opinion about the borders as these are out of DOF.

Aw, still cool though. I have always wanted the chance to photograph th Rosy Maple Moth and a Fire Fly. Unfortunately we have neither in my neck of the woods.
