While my wife was at the Microsoft Convergence conference in Atlanta (I must have been the only IT guy NOT at that conference) I had to kill some time. I took the camera and wandered Atlanta near the Centennial Olympic Park (that's where our hotel was). I didn't find much in the way of interesting shots, but when i was up by the Hard Rock, I thought the sign to a Mexican restaurant with the Peachtree Westin in the background would make an interesting shot. The sky was blown out, but I made an HDR by pulling different exposures out of my original RAW file and am pretty pleased with the resulting file.
In 2008, a tornado wiped out a bunch of windows in the Westin - that's what those black squares are. Using the computer, I 'replaced' the missing windows. I'm not too sure which one I like better as the black squares make for some interesting visual ques, but the 'fixed' version is cleaner. Any comments or preferences?
