My middle son and my daughter, these were done using a combination of window light and one 500watt strobe with softbox on low power.

The b/w works well. But I think the first pic of the girl is a little cool, colour temp wise.

As for the young man, I think he could take some slightly harder light, and maybe a bit more contrast as well.

I like the expression embarrassed on the first shoot of your son and both the shoot at your little princess. ;)

I've had a few comments of late re: the coolness of my photos, I'm starting to worry about my monitor calibration, It's been calibrated with a spyder 3 pro, and I re calibrated it a few days ago, before editing these images.

To me they look "ok" and have printed out "ok" on my Canon Pixma, I'm yet to have them printed at my pro lab.

I hope my monitor isn't going awol - It's a freaking Eizo, only a year old, it better not be going bad on me :(

Thanks everyone for the comments :)

THey are a little cool on my screen also, for what it's worth... but the images look really awesome otherwise..... Not sure about your monitor, mayb print something at the lab and compare...?

Nice job on these and beautiful kids. They would all look good as B/W conversions but I think the first and 3rd look a tiny bit overexposed...at least on my screen. Love the rest of them just as they are
