Last sunday, (ANZAC day) one of our RNZAF Iroquois crashed, with the tragic loss of three aircrew.
thought it a fitting tribute, to post some of the photo's I've taken of these in the last few years.

some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:

How sad. I'd say you did them justice. BTW, what is going on in #4 & #5? I'd guess the RNZAF would take playing chicken in their aircraft pretty seriously

Re #4 & #5, is that airshow practice rather than "chicken"?

Great photos!

Nice shots. I went through officer training with one of the pilots lost in that accident, brought home again the risks inherent in aviation... a bloody sad day, particularly so given the timing

A sad story indeed.

Beautiful photos of an international workhorse

part of their airshow display - not sure what they called it but basicly point two airbourne heli's at each other and rotate both in circles around the point in the middle.

There's some nice images there. I like it when the wurring blade thingies look blurry tho.

Very nice pictures.
I heard of the tragic accident too.

I just love the sound they make.
