Guys, I'm really struggling to get a good layout for my gear in my Vertex 200, primarily because I have a 70-200 2.8 and a 150-500 (hood is causing the problem sine it's so wide). If anyone is willing to post some pics of your layout, especially if you have a couple bigger lenses, for me to look at, I would appreciate it.

Here's the content list:
50D gripped
70-200 2.8
150-500
30 1.4
17-50
2 flashes (Sigma 530 and Yongnou)
1.5x TC
Triggers in a Pelican 1020 (I think that's the model)
Conkin P-size knockoff filters in hard cases
(2) Delkin battery holders

Most of my little pockets are full or, at least, seem to be full, hence the batteries and filters in the interior. The flash pocket is holding a bounce card, battery charger and P filter holder. The Pelican is taking up alot of room, so I may have to chance the triggers breaking by taking them out of the case (it's too tall to stand up).

If the bottom only had fabric for the velcro...

I wish I could help you, unfortunately I have the Vertex 300, which would have given you room for all that and then some.

Here's some suggestions though:

Can you stack the 30 1.4 and the TC in one slot by using a divider?
Are you willing to run without a hood for the Bigmos?
If not either of those, have you considered purchasing either a SlipLock Pouch 30 or 60 for some of your accessories?

30 1.4 and TC are stacked. No hood for the bigmos won't work. I actually think that I have it worked out now. Don't have alot of room for growth but I think I'm set for the time being.

I looked at the 300 but got a pretty sick deal on this one new - reg $230, shipped with after Bing $140.

That's a sweet deal indeed.

You may still want to consider offloading some of that stuff into a SlipLock Pouch down the road. I didn't think I would need 'em, but they do come in handy...

My own gear list is different and my layout may not work for you.

But heres how mine is laid out. I just have room to slip a plastic box with an emergency set of camera and flashgun batteries in with the 100-400.

I know its not pretty and one of these days I must make time to make up some proper sized dividers.

I thought I could never put two bodies with lenses attached in this bag - boy was I wrong!
I am still able to fit the 40D with 70-200mm 2.8 in there WITH a TC converter.

Who cares what kit I have - it's your vision that counts! Website (external link)
