The problem is that afaik it didn´t have ANY office editor (I didn´t say MS Office)
I see how that can be deterring for some people. I for one don't find it practical to edit full blown documents on a mobile device because of the ergonomics involved, but everyone is different.

I thought it was a well known fact - the navigation could be used with Google Maps only. The first true navigation came with iPhone 3G.
Ah, I thought that you were referring to the 3G(S), as that is the current model.

Most people are average which means that most people can be satisfied with average products and services.
I was responding to your claim that something doesn't sell if people don't like it (at least that is how I understood it).

For me it´s HTC HD2 when talking about hardware and Nokia N900 when talking about software. But I don´t like thick phones and I like large screens so I would choose the HTC. Moreover the Windows Mobile and it´s applications are not bad too, it´s only disadvantage is that it´s slow and crashes (at least WM 6.1, I don´t have any experience with WM 6.5)
In other words, your preferred devices can be improved upon as well.
Let's face it, Apple doesn't exactly have a corner on the market with the concept of planned obsolescence.
