I was in a coffee shop recently in Portland and saw one of the employees taking stills with a Canon 50D and a little tiny and tidy all metal lens. I asked him what lens it was and he said a classic Zeiss he scored for a song and got an adapter to use with his Canon. It was super sweet and being a classic-anything buff, I was intrigued.
So, what's your favorite classic lens that you use with your modern Canon? And what are some great old optics to keep an eye out for on the used market? I know I'd be giving up AF/et al, but this seems like a fun way to expand the sport.
