Unfortunately, looks like Movie Maker won't fit for me. If I read the MS site correctly, the last release for WinXP (me) was v2.1 in 2004. Apparently the upgrade you speak of Moppie is v2.6 for Vista only. :(

Damn, might be time to install Windows 7 then :)

I used Movie Maker for the first time a couple of years ago on a Vista laptop, and was blown away by how easy it was to use. Being an MS product I expected it to be crap, but I have a suspicion it either wasn't designed by MS, or was it designed by a special development team hidden in the basement.

So long and thanks for all the flash

... and you might be right. My wife's computer at work was upgraded with Windows 7 and she says she loves it. She hated Vista and she knows nothing about computers (which tells you a lot about vista).

And the biggest proof of all the MS team may have finally gotten it together? - Those great little mac tv commercials have stopped! ;) :(
